Kansas City Chiefs (11-5) at Houston Texans (9-7)
“Houston we have a problem.”
The Houston Texans, winners of the AFC South, host the hottest team in football the Alex Smith led Kansas City Chiefs. Do you remember when the Chiefs were last in the playoffs? It was 2014 and Andrew Luck brought the Indianapolis Colts back from 28 points to steal a victory.
The Chiefs were stunned. It hurt and the memory of that hasn’t faded away just yet. Look for them to take a commanding lead early and hold on for the victory.
The Houston Texans boast the league’s third best defense. They will hold the Chiefs to a low score however they don’t have the offensive talent to score 13 points in a playoff game.
These teams met in week 1 of the 2015 season and the Chiefs took a big led before holding on to a 27-20 win. I don’t think the scoring will be that high but it will be a similar feel. Chiefs go up by a couple of scores; Texans claw back and make it interesting.
My Pick: Kansas City Chiefs 17 Houston Texans 13
