Final journal entry
I did it.
31 days of no TV, Netflix, Video games, Music and Talk Radio.
It was hard. What’s crazy is because of my creativity and the thoughts between my ears it was harder to flush out my day in the final 30 minutes this year than the previous 9 years. Every August I end the final 30 minutes of the day in the quiet. Not talking; just getting rid of my thoughts for the day.
The purpose? To focus on God’s voice. My method of renewing my mind during those 30 minutes to flush out the noise is thinking these words: “Lord clear my mind and speak to me.”
I’ve done this ten years now and I can recognize God’s voice through the noisy of the day but in those ten years I’ve never felt God speaking to me in the final 30 minutes of the day. It’s…
